Larsen Nature Preserve And Dog Park

We have five distinct and pawsitively popular off-leash dog parks (also known as Dog Exercise Areas) where dogs can exercise, play, swim, and interact.

The Callahan-Franklin Dog Exercise Area is located at 1720 Western Avenue in Waukegan, in the Larsen Nature Preserve. Separate play areas for little and large dogs, parking, seats, picnic tables, shade, fencing, waste containers and bags, and a dog water fountain are among the amenities.

Over 704 acres of golf, tennis, and baseball facilities, as well as beautiful gardens.

The Arlington Heights Park District is one of the Chicago metropolitan area's oldest and largest park systems. It can be regarded one of the most elaborate park districts northwest of Chicago, with two golf clubs and five outdoor pools plus one indoor pool.

Permits can be purchased through the Alcott Center for the Arts. The annual or daily use permit can be downloaded and returned to the Alcott Center for processing.
