Liberty Park Recreation Area and Dog Park

The walk follows Pond Brook for the first section. Buttonbush grows along the trail as it passes through the moist woods. The trail continues on a wooden boardwalk through the moist woods, where you can hear frogs calling in the spring.

This lovely 108-acre park can be found on U.S. West of Route 43, on Route 303. A newly created dog park with areas for dogs to explore is the park's focal point.

Marlee Layh and Lucas Donnell, Yellow Springs High School seniors, suggested a dog park in Ellis Park in 2010. Village Council ultimately rejected the project due to concerns about the site.
