Dog Park Locations

For Irving's good boys and girls, there's a new hangout in town. If you have a four-legged best friend, you owe it to them to go see it. 

Patsy Hooks Dog Park is one of the best dog parks in not only Parker County, but the entire Fort Worth area, according to us.

Patsy Hooks Dog Park has plenty of space for dogs to run and play, as well as plenty of shade for those hot summer days. It also has all of the amenities you'd expect from a dog park (water, poo bags, etc.).

Central Bark, Grand Prairie's first dog park, with three separate exercise spaces for dogs. Shade structures with seats and drinking fountains for both dogs and people are included in each of the gated sections - one for small dogs, one for large dogs, and one dedicated for rotating to conserve the grass. From the 40-space parking lot to the dog park entrance, there is a sidewalk, and each of the off-leash areas has accessible asphalt. To prevent dogs from accidentally passing from one area to another, the gated sections are accessed by a one-way gate system. Within each off-leash area, trees, turf, sandstone boulders, and adaptable grasses create natural, unmowed zones.

The Bark Park, located within the Meadow Park Athletic Complex, is the city's dog park. The park includes covered picnic tables, drinking fountains, dog agility equipment, and a doggie clean-up station, as well as separate spaces for little and large dogs.

Picnic spots, bathrooms, pavilions, soccer fields, playgrounds, basketball and multipurpose courts are all available at the park. In 2019, the playground was restored to include a magnificent Art Wall painted by local artists as well as all-new playground equipment, including a massive concrete slide.

Irving Dog Park is a dog park in Irving, Texas, with separate play areas for little dogs (under 25 pounds) and large dogs (over 25 pounds) (25 lbs and heavier). First Flight Park, located in Linwood Addition, marks the spot where French pilot Roland G. Garros seized the controls of a Bleriot monoplane to make the first flight from Fort Worth.

Foster Park is located beside a creek and features a duck pond that is popular among locals. The park now covers around twelve acres and includes a playground, outdoor grills, and 0.78 miles of multi-use pathways.

Mallard Cove Pocket Park, located at 375 Shadow Grass Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76120, was established in 2003.
