McInnis County Park

The dog-friendly Field of Dogs Dog Park is located behind the Civic Center in San Rafael, next to the dog-friendly Lagoon Park.

Dogs on leashes are welcome at China Camp State Park's campsite and day use picnic areas, which include the beach. Pets are not permitted on the trails at this state park, as they are in much of California. Aside from Petzooie, the area is home to a variety of intriguing species, including deer, squirrels, coyotes, foxes, bats, and a variety of birds. BBQs, picnic tables, a horseshoe toss area, and chemical toilets are available at the dog-friendly Miwok Meadows Picnic Area. From 8 a.m. to sunset, China Camp State Park is open.

At the end of Smith Ranch Road is an unofficial off-leash dog park. There is a road that separates two places. The right side is for tiny dogs, while the left side is for larger dogs.

This enclosed, off-leash dog park has a kiddie pool, flowing water, shade areas, waste stations, and a plethora of cheerfully donated tennis balls for your pet to toss.
