The California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside, California, is a dog-friendly park that spans over 400 acres of southern California. It is a throwback to those that existed in the early 1900s, when citrus fruits were hailed as the state's second gold rush. There are many demonstration groves and picnic spaces among the trees at the California Citrus State Historic Park. Dogs are not permitted in the park's facilities, although they are permitted to wander leashed on many pathways throughout the groves. Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park in Riverside, California, is a dog-friendly 1,500-acre park with many uncommon species and a path system that allows locals and tourists alike to enjoy nature while also providing spectacular views of the city. During their visit to the Park, pets must be leashed and cleaned up after. Owners of dogs are encouraged to bring their own trash bags and to keep a watch out for snakes and other wildlife. The Park is open seven days a week from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after dusk. There is no charge for parking or entrance.

Islander Park Circular is a dog-friendly, easy.07-mile loop path in Riverside, California, that runs through the foothills of the Box Springs Mountains. It's a low-key dirt route that's suitable for walking and running, and dogs are welcome on-leash.
