Wildcat Canyon Regional Park

The Golden Gate Bridge, Marin County, and Brooks Island can all be seen from this famous 23-acre park on Richmond's west end of Central Avenue. North Point Isabel, which is located across the Hoffman Channel, has an additional 20 acres.

Leashed pets are welcome to join you in this beautiful Richmond park as you relax.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Richmond! A parking lot with easy access to the Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Trail is shown on the map below.

The Point Isabel Regional Shoreline welcomes pets. Every year, nearly half a million dogs visit the park, which has over 23 acres to explore off-leash. Bay fishing, hiking, birdwatching, motorcycling, and jogging are just a few of the activities available at the park. Any person who allows their dog or other animal to be off leash must have a leash (maximum of six feet), keep their dog or other animal under voice control and within sight at all times, clean up after their dog, immediately leash any dog that shows aggression, and prevent dogs from digging or otherwise damaging park resources.

Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Dog Park is the largest dog park in the U.S., with more than 50 acres of off-leash land to explore on the eastern edge of San Francisco Bay.
