Penn Township has a variety of recreational possibilities, including parks and playgrounds. Penn Township includes five neighborhood playgrounds in addition to the recreational facility at the municipal building.

On Farm Road, Paws on the Run Dog Park has separate fenced sections for large and small dogs, as well as a small pavilion. A donation from the Brooks Family of Murrysville made the dog park feasible. During the summer, there are water fountains and wading pools, and the park is filled with doggie waste bags all year. The park's cleanliness is maintained by its visitors.

Dog owners can let their dogs off leash in four separate fenced-in zones at the Cedar Creek Dog Park.

Dogs are welcome to explore the park's woodland walks and play in the water. Each dog owner is limited to two dogs, and they must be kept under control during their visit. Parking in this area requires permits from the Borough Building. From sunrise to dusk, Riding Meadow Park is open every day.

A wide run is available at this grassy off-leash dog park. There is no water on the premises. So bring some to keep Fido cool while he's playing! Meanwhile, you can relax on a bench and talk to other pet owners.

Brandy Springs Community Park is home to a fantastic and relatively new dog park. The dog park is conveniently situated near the park's Rt 158 entrance.
