Mount Lowe Railroad Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a statewide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Altadena!

The Lower Sam Merrill Trail is a multi-use trail in Altadena that is ideal for walking Petzooie. Three miles is the length of the trail. It runs from Lake Av and Loma Alta Dr to Echo Mtn Trail Junction.

At the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, Eaton Canyon Natural Area Park and Nature Center is a natural preserve. Hiking through this well-located public park will reward you with the sight of a lovely waterfall. On-leash pets are accepted.
