Pets are welcome at Grand River Drive-In, formerly Coyote Drive-In. While outside, they always welcome the animal members of your family on a leash. Food from The Snack Shack is available at the drive-in, as well as an off-leash dog park for your four-legged companions, a playground for the kids, a mini-golf course, and yard games. Relaxed attitudes and lawn chairs are encouraged.

Alabama Outdoors welcomes pets. Alabama Outdoors was one of the first stores of its kind in the area when it opened in 1975. This well-known outdoor company sells high-quality outerwear, shoes, and equipment for a variety of outdoor activities, including climbing and hiking. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Alabama Outdoors is open.

Ruffner Mountain, at over 1,000 acres in size, offers visitors over 11 miles of magnificent hiking paths in a protected urban environment. The center hosts educational events, weekend activities, and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park is pet-friendly, which is the finest aspect for dog owners. Just keep in mind that all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and that owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Dog owners bring their canines to this large, wooded property to exercise, play, groom, and sleep.

To go, TA has Popeyes, Minit Mart, and O'Deli's. This facility features a special area set aside for pets in need of exercise or a rest. For quick cleanup, waste bags and garbage receptacles are also supplied. Pet care products are also available at TA and Petro Travel Stores.
