Sea Isle Park

As the spring season brings an influx of people and dogs to Overton Park, we're hearing from an increasing number of park visitors who say they've stopped going because of the enormous number of off-leash dogs. It is illegal for dogs to attack people.

On December 10, The Barking Lot, a pop-up dog/art park on the corner of Jefferson and Main, will open to the public!

Central Bark Dog Park is a pop-up dog park in the South Main district, placed on a prominent corner. The Downtown Memphis Commission was able to establish a valued neighborhood asset – a very active community meeting spot for dogs, dog owners, and neighbors – and improve the overall pedestrian experience for residents and visitors by elevating the use of this formerly vacant 0.15-acre lot.

Bring your dog to this enclosed dog park with benches, grass, and trees for shade to run and play off-leash.

A 9-hole golf course, a zoo, two playgrounds, an art museum, and a 126-acre forest are all part of this sprawling park.
