Callahan Park, which spans over 800 acres, is largely utilized for hiking, horseback riding, and walking. Callahan has acres of open fields and ponds, as well as a dog park and 7 miles of defined paths.

This park was named after Framingham resident William Reardon, who campaigned hard to get the town to create a beach on Lake Cochituate in the Saxonville district of Framingham. It is located at the corner of Laclede Avenue and Maymont Drive.

The main trail through the reservation begins near the reservation sign on Old Connecticut Path, just south of Brownlea Road, and crosses Cochituate Brook.
