Glass Beach

Glass Beach welcomes dogs. Leashed dogs are welcome to explore MacKerricher State Park's southernmost beach in Fort Bragg with their owners. The smooth rainbow glass fragments that brighten up the ground among the pebbles give Glass Beach its name. The former rubbish dump was originally littered with broken bottles that the tide had smoothed over. Don't take any of the glasses with you. The park is open 24 hours a day.

Follow Port Drive down the steep hill into the harbor, beneath the bridge, and down to the beach. Stop at Nemo's Fishmarket on N. after visiting the beach.
