Wheeler Park welcomes pets. Take a stroll through this nice park in Flagstaff with your leashed dog. You'll come across mature trees and park seats that line 2.5 acres of public open area, ideal for picnics, reading, and festivals. The park is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week.

The Flagstaff Arboretum welcomes pets. This 200-acre plant and wildlife conservation park includes lovely trails for you and your dog to explore. On tours, walk alongside ponds and learn about amazing plants native to the area and beyond. Dogs must be on a leash and are not permitted inside the structures. Admission is necessary for both people and dogs; current rates can be found on their website. The Arboretum is located on gorgeous and rustic Woody Mountain Road, 4 miles south of Route 66. Woody Mountain Road is paved for the first mile and unpaved for the last three miles, however it is adequate for all cars. The Forest Service Road has a posted speed limit of 25 mph. The Flagstaff Arboretum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

6. Frances Short Pond at Thorpe Park

The pond, which is located along the FUTS trail, offers community fishing as well as a pet-friendly area to bring your dog. Visitors are encouraged to observe animals on a regular basis to discover how this restored pond and riparian habitat are used by a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish, according to interpretive signage. The pond is surrounded by walking routes with native flora and extensive bird life. Dogs on leashes are allowed as long as they are cleaned up after.

The Black Hound Gallerie welcomes pets. They specialize in unique gifts, clothes, and stickers and are located in the center of Downtown Flagstaff. The Black Hound Gallerie is open till 6 p.m. every day.

Nate Avery Route is an excellent dog-friendly trail in Flagstaff, Arizona. This two-mile circle around Buffalo Park leads to a wide open space on the flat top of McMillan Mesa, an ancient lava flow, and is one of the most popular urban trails in the area. The trail also leads to some spectacular views of Humphrey's Peak, the Dry Lake Hills, and Mount Elden from a wooded valley.

Pets are welcome at Walnut Canyon National Monument. Ancient Native American cliff homes can be seen at Walnut Canyon. It's 20 miles long and 400 feet deep, and it's home to a diverse range of plants and animals. The Rim Trail, the monument's major feature, is dog-friendly, however some other locations are dog-restricted owing to local animals. While exploring the area, keep your dog on a leash.
