The Hamden Dog Park was developed and is maintained by an organization known as "R-DOG," which stands for the Hamden Responsible Dog Owners Group in its full form. With only a few hundred members, this organization relies on volunteers and money to keep the community's dog parks in top shape.

The Easton Dog Park is the result of a collaboration between dog owners and Easton Parks & Recreation. There is no yearly cost to use the dog park, but everyone in the community is expected to keep it clean and follow the rules. The dog park will remain available as long as visitors follow the established guidelines.

57. Naugatuck Dog Park
Andrew Mountain Park's Naugatuck Dog Park is located on Andrew Mountain Road. It's located on three acres and is a great area to meet new people, make new friends, and mingle while walking your dog (s). Your little dog is welcome in the main park, but there is a smaller area for small and shy dogs. It's a place where dogs may run off leash and play with other dogs while their owners keep an eye on them.
