Blue Springs State Park

The Wiregrass Region of Alabama is hot in the summer, so Blue Springs State Park in Clio is a great spot to cool off. Locals may consider this park a secret swimming hole, but it is definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the state. Blue Springs is a terrific summertime destination, but it is also welcoming all year. This is the spot to go if you want to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet. Most parks allow dogs as long as they are kept on a leash. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted.Dogs must not be left unattended, and if left in a heated car, they will be confiscated.
