The Clayton Dog Park was created as a result of a collaboration between the Clayton K-9 Coalition and the City of Clayton. The current dog park site was approved by the city, and fences, benches, a table, and waste receptacles were installed. The Clayton K-9 Coalition was formed by a group of local residents who donated the finances needed to give water to the park, and an Eagle Scout Project constructed an arbor shade structure over the picnic table.
