The enclosed Simi Dog Park in Simi Valley, CA, has both a large and small dog area, as well as water, parking, and picnic tables, where pets can run and play off-leash.

The Sepulveda Basin Off-Leash Dog Park is divided into three sections for dogs of various sizes. It's a fantastic spot for your dog to exercise. Every Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the park is closed for routine maintenance.

The San Fernando Road Bike Path is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a statewide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Sylmar! A parking lot with easy access to the San Fernando Road Bike Path is shown on the map below.

Ascending Caballero Canyon on the north side of the Santa Monica mountains will take you and your dog on a 3.4-mile round trip hike with a 625-foot elevation gain. Visit the webpage for more trail and hiking information.

Calabasas Bark Park is a small, walled, off-leash dog park that is popular with residents. It has a doggy water fountain, pooper scoopers, and plenty of parking.

Simi Peak Trail is a 5.3-mile out-and-back trail with lovely wildflowers that is categorized as tough and is located near Simi Valley, California. The trail is open all year and is popular for hiking, running, nature trips, and bird viewing. This trail is also open to dogs, although they must be kept on a leash.
