We came from out of town and found this spot to enjoy our animals without having to worry about overcrowding in parks and whatnot.

Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park, a gorgeous 710-acre park located at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains near La Quinta, CA, welcomes leashed dogs. Lake Cahuilla is surrounded by expansive lawns and picturesque mountain tops, making it a spectacular destination. At all times, dogs must be restrained by a 6-foot leash. Because it is a reservoir, dogs are not permitted in the water.

Bring your dog to Joe Mann Park, a dog-friendly park in Palm Desert, CA, to play off-leash in the park's small, enclosed neighborhood dog park!

Mayflower Regional Park, located by the Colorado River in Blythe, CA, is a dog-friendly park. Fishing, boating, grilling areas, and RV and dry camping sites are all available at the park. Both people and dogs must pay a day-use fee. Petzooie must be kept on a six-foot leash at all times.

Sheep Mountain Trail is a 12.5-mile hike in the San Bernardino National Forest that will take Petzooie about 8.5 hours to accomplish. You will be significantly more weary at the conclusion of this trail than you would expect. The trail has a lot of ups and downs, is exposed to the heat, has rocky footing, and is basically uphill in both directions. Those undertaking this lovely walk, including your dog, should be accustomed to hiking several times per week.

Freedom Park in Palm Desert is a big off-leash dog park that is part of the 26-acres of recreational property. It is a popular destination for local dog owners.
