Small and large dogs have their own categories. For dogs, there are convenient water and waste facilities. Human-sized park benches. Wacker Park, which is nearby, has restrooms and other amenities.

Don't forget to bring a jug of water to the park. The water fountain on the Big Dog side is broken and inoperable. Parts are on their way.

A lake, a lodge, bridges, trails, courts, and a public amphitheater are all part of the park. The National Register of Historic Places has listed the region.
