Debardeleben Park is named after the city's founder Henry Debardeleben and is described as a "oasis." The park is conveniently located in the centre of the city. Picnic tables, a bandstand, and a refurbished Doughboy statue with the names of local World War I veterans from Bessemer etched on it may all be found there. The park hosts the annual Bob Sykes Blues and BBQ Festival, as well as summer concerts and community events like the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
