One of Asheville's premier parks, this 155-acre park has been developed. Trails, picnic spaces, disc golf, lakes, a retreat center, the historic Thomas Wolfe cabin, and many other special amenities are now available at the John B. Lewis Soccer Complex (4 soccer fields).
13. French Broad River Dog Park
Asheville Parks & Recreation, founded in 1954, oversees a diverse network of more than 55 public parks, playgrounds, and open spaces throughout the city, as well as full-complex recreation centers, swimming pools, Riverside Cemetery, sports fields and courts, and community centers that provide a variety of wellness, education, and culture-related programs for Ashevillians of all ages.

The Biltmore Estate welcomes pets! Dogs are welcome to explore the grounds and roam the more than 250 acres of beautifully designed gardens. Petzooie is also invited to join the humans at various eateries in Antler Hill Village that have outside dining. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed inside any structures. Throughout the year, it is open every day.
