Fairbanks Dog Park is the place to go for off-leash fun in Fairbanks, with plenty of area for dogs to run. The park has a total of 20 acres (including 10 acres of natural area), a half-mile of walking trails, two fenced play areas, and a fenced grass for training, demonstrations, and events.

Today, Kiks' ancestral home serves as a memorial to a historic conflict between Russian invaders and indigenous people. Dogs are welcome on all of the park's trails and grounds. However, as with all National Parks, your pet must be kept on a six-foot leash or shorter.

Grizzly bears, caribou, wolves, Dall sheep, and moose can all be found in Denali's dynamic glaciated landscape. Birds and wildflowers abound on the summer slopes. Sightseeing, backpacking, and mountaineering are popular activities for visitors. And don't forget about Mount McKinley, North America's tallest summit at 20,320 feet. Pets are permitted in the park but must be kept on a leash at all times and are not permitted on the trails, shuttles, riverbars, or backcountry. Owners must dispose of feces in garbage cans and keep pet food in a vehicle or food locker, according to the park.
