Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama, is a dog-friendly park where mountain biking and hiking are two of the most popular activities. Visitors can select from more than 50 miles of trails, whether they want to do a quick loop or stay overnight. Dogs are allowed in most areas of the park if they are on a leash. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted. Fido cannot be left unsupervised, and if left in a heated car for more than 30 minutes, he will be confiscated.

Make a pit stop at Dothan's Eastgate Park for Fido to get some exercise. The off-leash dog park, which opened in 2014, offers your dog almost four acres of green grounds to run and play in. The park has a variety of obstacles and trials for dogs. The park is ideal for dogs of all sizes, with separate gated spaces for large and little dogs.

The Foley Dog Park is on US 98, just south of the US Post Office and near to the Rose Trail. There is a fenced area in the park that is divided into portions for large and small dogs. Within the park's fenced-in section, thirty trees have been planted to create a canopy of shade. The park is open from dawn to sunset.

125. Fairhope Dog Park

The Fairhope Dog Park, part of the Fairhope Municipal Sporting Park / Volanta Sports Complex, is an off–leash dog park. The Fairhope Dog Park Coalition and the City of Fairhope collaborated on the park. There are two areas to the 2-acre park, one for little dogs and the other for large dogs. Watering stations, benches, garbage bags, and collection stations are available in each sector. Users of the park are asked to follow the dog park guidelines, which are posted at the park's entry.

Tricentennial Park is a huge park with a paved trail that winds around a large pond near to downtown. There are benches, a splash park, and a playground available. Dogs must be on a leash.

Red Mountain Park, a nonprofit organization, is located in Birmingham, 3 miles west of I-65 (Lakeshore Parkway Exit #255), on 1,500 wooded acres. The Red Ore Zip Tour (a 12-hour zip line adventure), the Hugh Kaul Beanstalk Forest (20 unique rope and cable treetop challenges), the 80-foot climbing/rappelling Kaul Adventure Tower, and the 1,000-foot Mega Zip are among the 12 miles of walking, hiking, and mountain biking trails available to visitors. The historic 'Redding Hoist House,' three Treehouse vistas (SkyHy, Riley's Roost, and Rushing Rendezvous), and sights of iron ore mine entrances all thrill and amaze Park visitors.The Park will have 20 miles of trails, picnic pavilions, an event venue, two formal entries with parking, and the Robert R. Meyer Activity Center when Phase 2 Development is completed in 2016. New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day are all closed.

The Mobile Botanical Gardens, located next to Langan Park, is a 100-acre facility with manicured gardens, woodland pathways, and a longleaf pine forest. The Gardens are committed to preserving native plant species and educating the public about gardening and plant life. Dogs are allowed to roam the grounds as long as they are restrained and their owners clean up after them.

Just keep in mind that all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and that owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
