Point Isabel Dog Owners
Point Isabel Dog Owners and Friends (PIDO) has worked a lot since 1985 to keep this dog park clean, safe, and off-leash. Without Point Isabel Dog Owners, there would be no off-leash leisure at Point Isabel Dog Park.
In 1985, East Bay Regional Park District canceled off-leash dog walking rights at Point Isabel Regional Shoreline. PIDO created and spent two years negotiating with East Bay Regional Park District or EBRPD, the dog rules — that restored off-leash leisure in 1987.
After that, when sustained off-leash recreation at Point Isabel was under attack in the 2000s, Point Isabel Dog Owners gathered approximately 20,000 signatures that convinced the organizers of Eastshore State Park to preserve off-leash walking.
Park Accessibility
There is wheelchair-available parking, trails, as well as restrooms in Point Isabel Park.
Attractions
Point Isabel Dog Park is a conditionally selected official San Francisco Bay Water Trail trail-head. It gives rich bird-watching occasions, mainly in the fall and winter. Further attractions include bay fishing, walking, jogging, running trails, bike riding, picnicking, kite flying, and windsurfing.
A State fishing license is needed to fish from the shore. Besides, fishers might try for striped bass, numerous surf perch, jacksmelt, flounder, sturgeon, as well as leopard shark. Dogs can be off-leash at Point Isabel Regional shoreline even though owners must hold a leash with them and have their pooch under voice control.
Dogs showing aggressive behavior toward public or other animals must be leashed quickly. Kindly prevent dogs from burrowing or damaging park possessions, and please throw your pet’s waste in a garbage can. Dogs should be on leash in parking areas and streets.

Point Isabel Dog Park Reviews

A great park for dogs as well as people. We had a great sunny day. The view of SF is superb. The dogs were very happy to be out. There is a wonderful walking path and some picnic tables.

I'm here for around three weeks with my rescue dog. It's really my happy place. Do not go on weekends, as that's when the muggles come out and the parking lot overflows.

Point Isabel is not only the best dog park, but It’s also the biggest dog park in America. Along with trails, water accessibility for swimming dogs, bag stations, stunning views of San Francisco, and an exciting café which caters to dogs, there are several places to sit and picnic tables.
