Siskiyou County Animal Control

Siberian Huskies and German Shepherds are two breeds that are frequently put to death in high-kill shelters, and we specialize in saving and rehabilitating these animals.

By providing refuge, rehabilitation, minimizing pet overpopulation, and helping animals find permanent homes, the Siskiyou Humane Society works to improve the lives of companion animals. Through education and outreach, we encourage responsible pet ownership, animal friendliness, and the improvement of human-animal interactions.

We provide adoption, temporary housing, and permanent placement for wounded or healed animals. We are a full-service animal rescue and rehabilitation organization.

(Sorry, Texas is not where we are an animal shelter.) We provide assistance to the local animals. We help with licenses, adoptions, food assistance, and evacuations if necessary. We are NOT animal control; the sheriff's office oversees the ACO.

Another Chance Animal Welfare League (ACAWL) is a group that rescues animals, primarily cats and dogs, and places them in loving, permanent homes. It is a no kill organization, thus any animals that are brought into the program remain there until they are adopted or they pass away.
