Animal Control relies on the community to notify us when they notice stray, poorly handled, or ill animals because we receive over 18,000 complaints a year.

We are a small team of foster families and volunteers that are passionate about the tiny wiener dogs. Together, we try to save dachshunds that have been abandoned, mistreated, or who are just no longer wanted by their owners.

The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society is an open admission institution that accepts unwanted, homeless, abused, and abandoned animals in need of tender loving care while they search for a permanent home.
