Yakima County Dog Control

  A regional non-profit animal rescue dedicated to improving the conditions of abused and abandoned animals in Yakima county.

Serving animals in the Yakima, Washington, region for 118 years is the Yakima Humane Society. Every day, we receive a number of animals with the intention of giving them veterinary care, such as spaying and neutering, microchipping, and finding them a forever home.

Every day, dogs and cats in the Yakima Valley pass away from abuse, homelessness, or euthanasia in shelters. This is not necessary. If only given the chance, almost every animal brought to a rescue has the capacity to make a devoted and affectionate pet.

To offer animals a secure, loving home; to ensure that they are adopted into good homes; and to promote their welfare by compassion, knowledge, original thinking, and a love of the relationship between humans and animals.
