A nonprofit 501(c)(3) group run entirely by volunteers, St. Francis Animal Rescue (SFAAR) is committed to saving and rehabilitating injured, abandoned, and homeless cats. Every animal we rescue receives the essential medical attention, vaccinations, and spaying or neutering.

I came to the conclusion that starting my own rescue was the greatest way I could help animals after fostering cats and dogs for various regional charities. Why not, when you have marketing and vet tech experience? I have a strong affinity with animals, and I have spent my entire childhood among dogs and cats. About five years ago, I started volunteering at Minneapolis Animal Care and Control, which further strengthened my desire to aid strays.

A nonprofit organization of volunteers called Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption (NLGA) is committed to educating the public about greyhounds as pets and finding responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds.

Our three Twin Cities adoption centers are more than just a great place to find and adopt a pet; friendly animal experts offer services and support for every stag. As one of the nation's leading animal welfare organizations, Animal Humane Society is transforming the way shelters care for animals and engage their communities. From innovative medical and behavior programs to outreach and advocacy, we're advancing animal welfare and creating a more humane world for animals.

Home for Life is a modest but mighty organization, and we are aware of the power of a little sanctuary. Home For Life is able to provide a decent life for the approximately 200 animals that call our sanctuary home, not just a life in a cage.

501 (c) (3) non-profit organization Happy Tails Rescue of Minnesota, formed in 2005, is devoted to saving homeless and abandoned animals. We are able to rescue dogs and cats and provide them with loving temporary care until a well-matched, meticulously vetted permanent home can be found by collaborating with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, area vets, trainers, and boarding facilities.
