Winnsboro Animal Shelter

To raise the area's animal population's standard of living while boosting the health and wellbeing of the local populace.

Through spay/neuter campaigns and education, APET aims to decrease populations of stray dogs and cats as well as animal abuse, such as neglect and abandonment.

The City of Mount Pleasant and Titus County are served by the Mount Pleasant Animal Care and Adoption Center. We collaborate with rescues to place our animals in new homes, reconnect missing animals with their owners, and adopt unclaimed animals.

We are a small animal control/shelter facility supervised by the Sulphur Springs Police Department and run by Animal Control Officers. You can email us or call our shelter for further information as this is a kill shelter with limited capacity.

An Animal Control Officer who has been trained to address issues and uphold local animal laws makes up the Animal Control Division.
