Compassion for canines

The Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office is responsible for overseeing and staffing the Isle of Wight County Animal Services and related Animal Control operations.

When a group of devoted volunteers in Suffolk noticed how many pets were being given up by their owners, the Suffolk Humane Society was founded. These volunteers promised to work with the City of Suffolk's Animal Care Center to spread the word about adoptable animals in our neighborhood because they wanted to see a difference. In an effort to address Suffolk's severe pet overpopulation issue, these volunteers also pledged to educate the public on the value of spaying and neutering our pets.

Breed-specific non-profit dog rescue Naked Kisses Dog Rescue, also known as NaKiD Rescue, is situated in Florida and serves the Southeast of the United States.

The Animal Control Unit and Open Admissions Shelter of Franklin Animal Services are devoted to ensuring the public's and the animals' safety for the residents of the Incorporated City of Franklin, Virginia.

The Lieutenant of the Southampton Sheriff's Office's Detention Division is in charge of the function of animal control.
