Lewis County Animal Control

We are a tiny non-profit company founded in 2015. As locals of Upshur County, West Virginia, we are acutely aware of the need in our neighborhood.

In addition to rehoming cats, tiny animals including sugar gliders, chinchillas, and rabbits, as well as reptiles and arachnids, we are a cat and small animal rescue based in Glenville, West Virginia.

The Doddridge County animal control officer provides the majority of the animals we have. We conduct adoptions both within and outside of the county.

All dogs being claimed for reimbursement MUST have a current year tax tag. The Harrison County Assessor's Office at 301 W is where tags must be obtained. Main Street, Clarksburg, WV

We rigorously adhere to the "no kill" policy. In other words, until a suitable home is found, we care for our animals at the shelter. For each pet we adopt out, we also rescue another one from Animal Control. We go above and above to choose the wholesome and compatible buddies for our clients. Though challenging, the decision must be made. Our goal is to be able to rescue and care for every animal before the Animal Control Center puts them to sleep. Although it might seem like an unattainable task, that is what we are aiming for.
