The mission of West Valley Animal Services is to provide quality public services and successful adoption results while caring for companion animals in our neighborhood.

Hearts 4 Paws is a non-profit group organized by volunteers with the mission of rescuing, sheltering, and ultimately rehoming stray, neglected, and abandoned animals.

Since 2011, we have been committed to running a "no-kill" operation. Every year, our live release rate exceeds 94%. We have achieved this rank as the biggest shelter in Utah.

Through education and enforcement, the Department of Animal Services seeks to encourage responsible pet ownership. With the help of vigorous adoption initiatives, we try to place good pets in good homes. We offer the City of South Salt Lake animal services and animal law enforcement in addition to our comprehensive shelter/adoption facility.

The mission of the Humane Society of Utah is to end animal suffering, fear, and agony. Keeping pets and people together, bringing them together, and assisting each animal in reaching their most suitable outcome as soon as possible are all goals of ours.
