Although Animal Rescue Force of South Florida, Inc., which became incorporated on September 2, 2005, may appear to be a brand-new organization, A.R.F. was actually established on October 12, 1974 in East Brunswick, New Jersey, as a result of "Animal Day," a declaration made by then-Mayor Walling and under their leadership.
