Lowndes County Animal Shelter

A local non-profit animal welfare organization, The Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County was founded in 1989 to represent the interests of animals in our community. Our commitment to enhancing the lives of animals through rescue, advocacy, and education is reflected in our motto, "We speak for those who cannot speak for themselves."

BARC saves dogs and cats from cruelty and neglect and cares for them in foster homes until they are adopted, all while attending to their medical needs.

The Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County's (HSVLC) goal is to encourage responsible pet ownership by instilling in people a love of all living things and a respect for them.

Using this chance, we'd like to introduce you to D.A.R.E. Animal Rescue, Inc. Our call to action to improve the lives of animals in our community is embodied by the acronym D.A.R.E., which stands for defending, advocating, rescuing, and educating.

The U.S.A. Rescue Team is a foster-based organization that works to place abandoned pets and animals that have been abandoned by their owners in caring foster homes while we search for the ideal family for them to join.
