In April 2010, Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter, Inc. was founded. Doors unlocked on June 20, 2011. The name was selected to represent a "brighter tomorrow" for both our pets and the people who love them.

Last Paw Rescue

Kim Abbs and Kathy Cipriani are the organizations' founding members. We just had a vague notion of what a rescue entailed when we arrived with a small group of pals. We lacked resources and elaborate preparations, but we did have commitment. We wanted to approach this rescue differently because we had volunteered for another one. Thus, Last Paw Rescue was founded on December 20, 2012! Since it was like giving something life, we say "birth"!
