The Loudon County Animal Shelter's mission is to protect the welfare, safety, and health of Loudon County's residents and animals by upholding state animal laws in a responsible and respectful manner, caring for abused, abandoned, and strays, finding loving homes for the animals in our care, encouraging responsible pet ownership, and reducing the number of strays in the county.

Every animal that is brought to our facility receives love, care, food, shelter, and medical attention.

Animal Care and Control is a service provided by the Roane County Animal Shelter.

Nationwide, 6 million dogs and cats are brought into shelters each year. About half of them will be put to death due to a lack of resources rather than illness or aggression problems.
