In order to rescue and heal physically and emotionally abandoned, neglected, or damaged purebred Collies in need of permanent homes in Texas and the surrounding states, Freedom Collie Rescue (FCR) was founded.

By upholding federal, state, and local regulations and by giving each animal in the city's animal shelter compassionate care, we are dedicated to preserving the health, safety, and general wellbeing of everyone living in community, including both people and animals.

Animal Services offers humane live traps for capturing stray and small wildlife that is a nuisance. The use of traps is first-come, first-served.

Houston Humane Society, unlike other nonprofit animal welfare groups, is entirely dependent on donations, program services, and special events to finance our life-saving work.
