Skiatook Animal Control

"Please notify us before leaving. This is the office of Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue. It provides as a space for meetings, activities, storage, and adoptions.

The cinder-block shelter housed animals that Collinsville Animal Control had captured for a long time. Before January 2008, this was known as the Collinsville Animal Shelter (also known as "the shed"). There were simply cages inside the shed; there were no windows. The only source of illumination were the openings in the temporary metal sheeting and the blue tarps that covered the cages' "outside" areas. Adoptions were uncommon because most people were unaware of the shed and animals were given 3-5 days before being put to death. The majority of animals had no hope of surviving because there were so few cages available.

Our goal at the Tulsa SPCA is to enhance the quality of life for both canines and felines and their human friends. Our staff and volunteers put in countless hours every day to make this a reality.

Strengthening the relationship between humans and animals, educating communities, and completing families. Imagine a world in which each adoptable animal had a devoted, permanent home. Simply because there aren't enough homes for all the animals, millions of healthy, well-behaved animals are put to death every year at shelters.

A stray animal may not be kept for longer than 24 hours without being reported to the animal shelter, according to city code 4-182.
