The originator of Home At Last Sanctuary, Inc. began as a volunteer foster home on November 1, 2008. After only a short while, it became clear that too many dogs and cats were dying after being abandoned or turned over to shelters.

We are a group of animal lovers who aim to change the world by finding devoted homes for abandoned and forgotten pets.

The mission of the MCHS is to save lives and strengthen the relationship between pets and their families while eradicating animal homelessness via education, outreach, and adoption.

Our goal is uncomplicated. We offer aging pets a place to retire. Our elders were either abruptly homeless or on the verge of losing their homes and families when they arrived with us. They had either already been turned over to a nonprofit shelter, left outside as stray animals, or had been rehomed and given to us.

Mid-Atlantic D.O.G.S. (MA/D), a search and rescue organization with years of expertise, was founded in 1990. In the event of a missing person emergency, we are dedicated to sending out trained canine search and rescue teams. Throughout the year, 365 days a year, our members are ready to respond at any time.
