Shelby County Humane Society

To offer services that preserve the health and safety of the general public, to shelter and care for animals in its facilities in a humane manner, to prevent community animals from abuse, and to inform its residents about responsible ownership.

Our main goal is the rescue of animals with unique needs. Tyson's Chance Animal Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue with headquarters in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

Shelby County No Kill Mission of Kentucky, a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was first established in August 2008 as Kentucky Pets Alive.

In Taylorsville, Kentucky, the Spencer County Animal Shelter offers a safe haven, food, water, and a lot of love and care to unwanted, abused, neglected, lost, and homeless dogs.

A managed intake no-kill shelter for dogs and cats is LIFE House for Animals. Our goal is to successfully facilitate animal adoptions, prevent pet overpopulation, educate the public about animal issues, and strengthen the bond between humans and animals.

Take Me in! Oldham and the surrounding counties' homeless pets are the focus of Bluegrass Pet Rescue. We believe that part of the solution to reducing the number of homeless pets is integrating education and community involvement.
