Poquita Paws Rescue's goals include promoting responsible pet ownership and saving small dogs from kill shelters and the community.

Our fourfold aim is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome, and promote responsibility among pet owners by rescuing animals from high-kill shelters and the community.

The mission of Wildlife Rescue is to help people understand that they are a part of a large community of living things, to feel gratitude and respect for that community, and to act more appropriately and compassionately.

We operate as a 501c3 nonprofit organization in San Antonio, Texas. Since our establishment in 2017, we've been working to support animal rescue efforts and find forever homes for our adoptable cats and dogs.

Since 1952, the San Antonio Humane Society (SAHS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit no-kill organization, has provided services to Bexar County and the communities around it.

The Friends of Paws in Prison Board of Directors, the Executive Director, and our Administrative Coordinator are all based in different central Texas cities, the Paws in Prison Program is physically located in the Lockhart Correctional Facility in Lockhart, Texas.
