Animal care and control rules are enforced by M.A.S. We defend animal rights from mistreatment and abuse while defending human rights from the hazards and annoyances posed by unrestrained animals.

The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County has bravely provided for the needs of hurt, abused, and abandoned animals as well as the people who look after them since 1933. The group fervently believes that our community is strengthened by the ethical treatment of animals and the bonds created between people and animals. It provides community education, low-cost veterinary care, animal training, and adoption services in order to achieve this.

By saving the pets that are most in danger and assisting owners with alternatives to shelter surrenders, Memphis Pets Alive (MPA!) is dedicated to aiding the healthy and curable dogs and cats who are at risk in a shelter.
