The Rhode Island SPCA is a nonprofit organization whose goals are to protect all animals in the state of Rhode Island from cruelty and to promote stronger enforcement of the state's animal cruelty laws.

Our dual goals at the East Providence Animal Control Center are to uphold local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to both public safety and animal welfare as well as to offer temporary shelter and permanent homes for the stray and abandoned domestic animals within this City.

In Rhode Island, the Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, urban animal shelter with over 100 years of experience.
