Washoe County Regional Animal Services

A charity, non-profit organization, Nevada Humane Society the sole no-kill shelter with open entry in Nevada. Every year, we provide aid to more than 18,000 stray or abandoned animals. serving the people of Northern Nevada for more than 90 years.

Our commitment is to supporting animal nonprofits and government institutions flourish in challenging times.

A small team of volunteers named Halo is committed to saving dogs. Due to behavioral or medical problems, or sometimes just because the shelter where they are is saying they are out of time, the dogs we rescue are in immediate risk of being put to death.

The non-profit SPCA of Northern Nevada is funded by private donations, program fees, revenues from thrift stores, foundation grants, and special events. We are not connected to any other SPCAs, and neither the ASPCA nor any other governmental bodies sponsor us. Your donation matters!

The main dog boarding program at Sugarland Ranch that contributes to the non-profit mission of Sugarland is still Honey Bear's Country Kennels.
