We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers who are committed to saving animals by offering them refuge, veterinary care, and long-term adoptions.

The non-kill shelter and low-cost spay/neuter facility SAFE Haven for Cats was established in Raleigh in 1994. Since its inception, SAFE Haven has organized the adoption of more than 10,000 cats and kittens and performed spaying or neutering procedures on more than 30,000 animals in our clinic.

Through cooperative collaborations, the SPCA of Wake County (SPCA Wake) assists animals and humans in more than half of the counties in North Carolina.

Since 1987, the Triangle Area of North Carolina has seen the rescue of stray or abandoned cats and dogs by the non-profit group Second Chance Pet Adoptions.

The Wake County Animal Center works to develop a humane neighborhood for the local residents' pets and people.
We accept all stray, abandoned, and surrendered pets in Wake County as the only open admission shelter in the area. Every year, we care for and rehome thousands of stray animals with the help of neighborhood partners.
