Helping animals that need us the most has always been our main priority. Rescue organizations with limited funding but enormous hearts are frequently left to care for the elderly and sick animals. Change the outcome for a sick animal by your assistance.

An all-volunteer, nonprofit group called Cascade Animal Protection Society (CAPS) works to save the lives of unwanted, injured, and abandoned animals in the Puget Sound region. The animals that we take in come from a range of backgrounds. Until a permanent, caring home is found for these animals, they are housed in foster homes.

The mayor of the City of Auburn, a councilman from the City of Auburn, a local veterinarian, and a concerned resident gathered in February 2010 to debate the future of animal care in the City of Auburn.

A small group of concerned residents established The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County, which has now evolved to become one of the biggest animal protection organizations in the state. Every year, we provide care for almost 10,000 animals, help thousands of lost animals find their owners, treat sick and injured shelter animals, and administer extensive, affordable spay-neuter programs.
