The goal of Ruff Road Pet Rescue is to end the euthanasia of adoptable animals by offering rescue services to regional shelters, with a focus on rural areas, offering re-homing assistance to everyone in our neighborhood, offering community support for feral cat communities, offering spay and neuter assistance as needed, promoting the avoidance of animal cruelty, and fostering the human-animal bond by matching disadvantaged animals with lifelong, devoted families.

A nonprofit organization called Portsmouth Humane provides assistance to the residents and animals of Portsmouth, Virginia, through admission, adoption, lost/found, and resource programs. Although we have a contract to care for the city's stray animals, the money we receive only covers a small portion of our expenses. We are really dependent on the donations from our kind supporters!
