Friends of Parkville Animal

A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called KC Pet Project manages the animal shelter at Kansas City, Missouri's KC Campus for Animal Care. We currently operate 14 pet adoption locations in Missouri and Kansas and care for more than 15,000 animals annually. Through our Keep 'Em Together, KC program, Lost and Found services, and pet safety efforts like microchipping, pet identification, and more, we concentrate on proactive programs to assist people keep their dogs.

We were created because there is a hole in the sheltering system. Even if open-intake shelters are doing their best, there is only so much they can do.

Many of the dogs and cats here have been around for much too long! Will you take a chance and visit us here today? Bring your new family member home, perhaps!

While our officers do, in fact, react to calls of roaming animals and they do run the City's Animal Shelter, these are only a fraction of their duties and operations. Many people think of Gladstone's Animal Control as the dog catchers who run the dog pound.

Provide assistance to KC's homeless animals. Dogs in need are given shelter by KC Woof Pack. Forgotten and fearful pets need rescue and rehabilitation.

We are committed to finding homes for displaced pets, including dogs and cats, that are loving, caring, and secure.
