Unincorporated and nonprofit, the Humane Society of South Brevard operates a no-kill cat shelter. We never put a healthy pet to sleep. Within our facility, our cats are free to roam.

A no-kill sanctuary is provided by Helping Animals Live and Overcome (H.A.L.O. ), where extreme precautions are made to safeguard homeless pets and shield them from maltreatment and neglect. In order to engage our community, H.A.L.O. believes in offering them the tools, information, and programs they need to succeed.

We are the only animal shelter in Indian River County that guarantees admission of every animal, regardless of condition, temperament, or suitability for adoption. Additionally, we commit to offering a wide range of services to keep pets in caring homes and away from shelters.

Along with many others, we assist dogs, pigs, horses, and snakes. We are available to assist your pet however they require. No matter the breed, age, or appearance, we will find a home for your pet or they are welcome to stay with us as long as they like.
