Second City Canine Rescue

The mission of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue is to rescue abandoned dogs from shelters and animal control facilities and give them a second chance at finding a home with adoring families.

Our rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit with all volunteers, depends on charitable donations and fundraising to cover our adoption fees and to care for our dogs and cats.

Provide a safe haven and promote humane treatment for abused, neglected, or abandoned cats and dogs. Give sick and injured animals medical attention and a healing environment to aid in their recovery.

A non-profit organization named Kay's Animal Shelter was established in Morton Grove in 1953. The shelter relocated to its current Arlington Heights location in 1962.

We are one of Northern Illinois's oldest shelters. We have saved countless animals and found them loving homes for close to 70 years. We will keep saving lives thanks to your kind donations.

The mission of Friendly & Feral Cat Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer, no-kill organization, is to place the cats in our care in loving, long-term homes.
